Formula Used in Water Calculator

We use the following formula for a base estimate:

Water (in liters) = Weight (kg) × 0.033

Then we adjust for activity:

  • Add 0.35L for moderate activity
  • Add 0.7L for intense activity

Example Calculation

A person weighing 70 kg with moderate activity:

Water = 70 × 0.033 + 0.35 = 2.31 + 0.35 = 2.66 liters/day
